How do you explain that accountancy belongs to an industry with one of the highest labour shortages, while the working conditions are good, and how do you explain that very few people start the accountancy course and actually become accountants?
By doing research after this, I came to a discovery. I found out that young people know what an accountant does and how he does it, but often not why.
To change this in the long term, I wrote this book, 'Why Am I Accountant'. In the book I give tools on how you or your organization can get started with this to better explain this 'Why'. A message from accountants and everyone in the industry for the young people and generations to come. An inclusive message to continue to inspire young people.
