But taking up cycling leads to more than a slimmer waistline and a beautiful Mediterranean island. His newly acquired bicycle transports him to places he would perhaps have preferred not to go. His normal calm existence is interrupted by a journey where past catches up with the present, and an irrepressible attraction leads to an outcome as shocking as it is incredible.
