The idea of the book, was not there originally. It was something that started to grow during the years after I lost her. At first they were simple phrases on paper, memories and lines, in order to deal with her passing. You could see it as a journal, as where I tried to write it away from me, to spend hours on a single sentence, just to confront the memories and write them down. It was my way of dealing with the pain, my way of talking about it. During the years however, these phrases began to develop a certain red line, a beautiful and wondrous beginning towards a horrible and unavoidable ending.
And it was during those times, I began to realize that writing it down and confronting them did not hurt as much as it did before.
I noticed that time started to heal my wounds and it became the driving force behind my memoir: To tell others that no matter what you go through in life, no matter what happens, eventually, you will be able to move on. For some it might take years, for others there is no time period in order to heal certain events, but scars will form and close those wounds.
