The events bring us to the year 1937 in Europe, when two prominent Shell-oil-men were swept off their feet by the opposing forces Communism and National Socialism.

The story about oil takes us to the end of the 20th century and beyond. It warns us for a new period of political tension. Suspense, love, murder, politics, philosophy, a view on the future, it can all be found in this remarkably revealing book.
