Aspects of the English-Speaking World

Aspects of the English-Speaking World offers students of English and EFL teachers essential information about the five largest countries in the Aglosphere: The United Kingdom, Ireland, The United Status, Canada and Australia.

Each chapter introduces the student to a new country, giving them essential information about that country's people, politics, history, language, and the topices that are most important in that country today.

Aspects of the English-Speaking World also focuses on the use of English in countries like India, Jamaica, and South Africa, and offers students important knowledge about the role that the English languahe and English colonization have played in their societies.

Aspects of the English-Speaking World will help Dutch students prepare for the National Knowledge Test (Landelijke Kennistoets) by introducing them to important key terms and knowledge about the history and culture of the English-Speaking World. Each chapter contains sample test questions about the most important information from the chapter.
