Huib de Ruiter was 37 jaar werkzaam als antroposofisch huisarts in Leiden. In die jaren schreef hij met grote regelmaat stukjes in het kwartaalblad van gezondheidscentrum De Lemniscaat, waaraan hij verbonden was.

In dit boek is het merendeel van die stukjes gebundeld. Met elkaar vormen ze

een toegankelijk handboek over antroposofische huisartsenzorg, geschreven voor patiënten.
