Het werk van Ide André (Ede, 1990) komt voort uit een eigenzinnige overgave tot de actie van het schilderen. Zijn schilderijen, die vaak vuil en vluchtig maar tegelijk helder en scherp over komen, tonen de sporen van verschillende handelingen, die zowel binnen, als buiten het atelier uitgevoerd worden.

In zijn recente schilderijen werkt André voornamelijk met touwen en kabels. De ruwe en energieke lijnen openbaren een nieuwe wereld van referenties en structuren.
